Default Dye remover!!

Hey guys im currently tryin to find maybe 5-10 dye removers. Does anyone know how a guy might track some down? Ive tried some creative ways to nuetralize the colors back to a near match of the default color. But all efforts are just not close enough.

If anyone can help me out there will be compensation, the kind that will go down in lore and campfire tale. The riches will be etched into only the most reveered Tomes of enlightenment.

Thanks Cronk

The only dye remover you'll find is from anyone who has some stashed away. The gray dye that you get from the merchant replaced it and will restore your armor to it's original color.

...if you are talking about old armor (aka before new dye--and default was NOT grey)...you can try making a buy thread---and expect to pay a bit for it as the only people who have it still are either hoarders, collectors or people who want loads plat for it.

What for?

Most of the pre-NF armors used to be of very basic default colours that can be easily reproduced even with the current dyes.

That isn't the point. If it's rare, especially no longer available and dwindling, it's going to cost a lot of money to get a hold of. Also, I hear that Dye Remover allows you to obtain shades that you can't obtain with the new system.

Can u still use dye remover in the preview window? I know it used to be that you actually had to 'dye' dyes with dye remover to change the colour.

Yup, I know that. Dye-remover creates particular shades only when mixed. That's why using a dye remover to restore the default color of an armor seems pointless to me: too expensive, and a way cheaper alternative exists.

Most of the pre-NF armor were yellow for warrior and rangers, red for necromancers, green for mesmers, purple for elementalists, brown for monks, ecc... Applying such a dye on "classic" armors will make them look exactly as they were when just purchased.

Just check the Official Wiki, armors are shown in their "default" color in these official renderings. All those colors are easily obtained with one single dye with the current system.

There might be a few exceptions, but I don't really think the dye remover is a brilliant solution in this case.

again not the point..
SOME people want to get the colors that are no longer obtainable with the new grey default dye system (I dont like it at all either). My mesmer cant get the color to match her old elite set with the new dye system since the default color is now grey instead of green (mesmer ORIGINAL default color).....etc.

Ok, but what relevance does it have when it comes to this topic?

He wants to get back to the default, pre-NF color, which is not grey, but it is obtained by dying the armor with one, single dye, corresponding to the previous colour. There might be a few exception, but it's simple as that with all the old armor sets I could try it on.
